Hilarious Glee star Jane Lynch is set to be the host at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Will Sue Sylvester have a part in the show, too?
This year’s 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards are shaping up to be a Glee-ful time: Jane Lynch confirmed that she’ll be the host!
“I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox,” Lynch said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.”
Does this mean she’ll break out her alter-ego, Sue Sylvester? Please, please, please!
This will be Lynch’s first time hosting the Primetime Emmys, joining the likes of past hosts Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris and Ryan Seacrest.
Plus, we already know she’s comfortable on an Emmy stage: She won one last year for her role on the hit Fox show. Lynch even had the audience laughing during her short acceptance speech.
“[Actors] have no choice or any marketable skills. I have to thank my lord and creator Ryan Murphy for creating this role of a lifetime and the cast who are so young and fresh-faced, and when I’m not seething with jealousy, I’m so proud of you,” Lynch said while accepting her award.
We can’t wait! This year’s Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled to air live from Los Angeles in September.
