La Toya Jackson’s book looks at Michael Jackson’s last disturbing days

La Toya Jackson’s new book about the death of her brother Michael Jackson paints a sad picture of the pop star’s last days.

La Toya Jackson’s new book, Starting Over, gives her perspective on the death of her brother, Michael Jackson, including his state of mind in the last few days before his death — and his eerie prediction about how his life would end.

La Toya Jackson writes that one of the first thoughts that crossed her mind when she heard of Jackson’s death was — “Who killed Michael?” She said that Michael Jackson predicted he would be killed over his music publishing catalog and his estate.

Jackson’s official cause of death two years ago was from sedative overdose. His personal doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, is awaiting trial in September and has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

La Toya writes in the book that she tried to confront Dr. Murray in the hospital after Michael’s death, however, he gave her “evasion and excuses.”

She also writes about Michael’s last days. He was gearing up for a 50-show tour but disturbing words from his daughter Paris sound like he was dealing with a lot physically and emotionally. Paris told La Toya that “Daddy was always cold” and “He would always cry.”

La Toya writes in her book that she went to his house after his death and found his bedroom “torn to pieces,” including furniture overturned and items scattered everywhere. She found personal notes that he had written to his father Joseph saying that he needed help to get “these people out of my life.” He also indicated that the 50-show tour was too much, saying he “only agreed to 10 shows.”

It is a sad story that leads up to his death on June 25, 2009 — and may leave more questions unanswered as to his state of mind and the events leading up to his passing away.

La Toya Jackson’s book, Starting Over, will go on sale next week. Michael’s brother, Jermaine Jackson, is also writing a book that is scheduled to be released in September.
