Lindsay Lohan may be under house arrest, but that doesn’t mean she’s out of the spotlight. Now, Lindsay’s got the home prison scoop.
Lindsay Lohan has finally decided to speak out and tell the world about what it’s like to not be able to leave your own home. Under house arrest at her $2.25 million Venice Beach, California pad, Lohan says she’d rather be out partying with her friends, and she insists she’s eager to do her community service.
“I’m a very social person, and I like being outside, especially in Venice Beach. I’d like to get out more — just going out and having dinner,” Lindsay says from her fancy jailhouse. “I was really upset not being able to go to my little brother’s birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out.”
Maybe it didn’t bum her out too much to be crib-bound since May, seeing as she’s got a roomy three-bedroom, four-bathroom triplex in which to do her time. Plus, her dwelling is decorated just for her — including a giant framed photograph of herself.
Inside, Lohan says she’s keeping herself busy. “I’ve been having a lot of work-related meetings. Sometimes my friends come over. And I get to see my sister, Ali, which is nice.” And she’s trying to stay out of trouble. “When my friends come over, they’re not drinking. Alcohol is not in my house, so it’s just not a part of my life.”
Does that mean Lindsay’s finally cleaned up her act, and she’ll stay out of the clubs when her home arrest sentence ends next week?
“I don’t think you should ever say never,” Lohan replies. “I’ve grown up — and I’m willing to do what I have to do to prove that.”
“This may come as a shock, but I mean it: I want to start my community service,” Lohan says. “You go through experiences. I do understand that I need to gain some of the respect back, but I’m willing to work hard for that. I understand the situations I’ve put myself in, and I don’t want to go back to that.”
