Singer Paulina Rubio was arrested after a car accident in Miami. You’re not going to believe how she got out of going to jail.
Think back to the last time you had a fender bender: Were you shaken up? Probably. Did you freak out on the police that responded to help? Probably not. Then again, you’re not Mexican singer Paulina Rubio.
Rubio made like David Arquette and crashed her BMW into another car in Miami’s Little Havana — and that’s when the freak-out began. Responding cops were greeted with an irrational Rubio.
“All of you Miami cops are abusive,” Rubio reportedly screamed when asked to get out of her car. She then made multiple phone calls and ignored police requests to comply.
“I’m not getting out of the car!” she screamed. “What the [expletive] do you want me to do? I just had an accident and I’m very nervous. That’s why people don’t like you because all you Miami cops are abusive.”
Okay, we get it — car accidents are scary. However, it sounds like they were just trying to help. Rubio’s meltdown got so bad that cops had to physically pull her out of the car. She didn’t take that too well, either.
“Help! Help! I didn’t do anything! Look what they’re doing! Help! Abusers! You bunch of liars! Help!” she screamed and threatened to call police.
Rubio wasn’t thrown in jail, thanks to her little get-out-of-jail-free card, her six-month-old child. Cops didn’t take her into custody because she had to breastfeed. She also apologized and then everyone went off skipping into the sunset together.
Well, not really — but she did calm down and apologize for her freak-out.
