Emily Maynard as the new Bachelorette is a ‘done deal’

Emily Maynard may have said she was looking forward to being out of the spotlight after her broken engagement to BachelorBrad Womack, however, she is close to signing a deal to be the next Bachelorette. Why would she do it? Read on to find out.

Splitting with BachelorBrad Womack may have been a lucrative move for Emily Maynard, who sources say is close to signing as the next Bachelorette.

“She hasn’t officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal,” a source reveals.

This move does come as a surprise since Maynard, 25, said after her split from Womack that she was tired of the paparazzi and media attention and ready to “move on and get back to normal” with her six-year-old daughter, Ricki.

So why would she agree to put her heart on the line again in front of millions? Maynard reportedly wants to be a TV host and this is the best way to do it. “She wants to be famous,” a source told Us Weekly.

In fact, another source says she is the one that approached ABC. “Emily has talked to ABC about it, and they said they’d consider it,” a source says. “That’s why she’s staying active on Twitter and is doing the blog, because she wants the world to remember her. Emily wants to be a big star.”

If she does return as The Bachelorette, we know one single bachelor who will be first in line to try to win her heart — Bentley Williams. The infamous Bentley told current Bachelorette Ashley Hebert that he was disappointed it was her, and not Maynard, who was on the show because Maynard was “breathtakingly beautiful” and Hebert was an “ugly duckling.”

Maynard has expressed her dislike for Bentley and his obnoxious ways, however, I’m sure producers will think of a way to include him in the show to drum up ratings.

Tell us: Do you think Emily Maynard should be the next Bachelorette?
