Miranda Kerr is finally getting frank about her natural childbirth experience.
Miranda Kerr found out the hard way that Victoria’s real secret is that natural childbirth hurts like a b.
The supermodel, who went through natural childbirth with her now seven-month-old son Flynn, says that in the midst of the experience she literally thought she was going to die.
“I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body,” Kerr told Australian InStyle. “I was looking down on myself, the pain was so intense.”
“I kept thinking, ‘How do women do this?’ But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined,” she told the mag.
She obviously survived — in fact, there were no complications to report — and seemingly overnight Kerr got her bikini body back. Not that she was all that worried about it, anyway.
“Flynn is a big baby… and I thought to myself, ‘I have so much more that I want to do aside from modeling,'” she said. “I can live with my body not being in shape if I have a healthy son. It’s worth it.”
Kerr married Orlando Bloom in July 2010. Flynn is their first child together. Do you think next time she’ll go for the epidural?
