Friends with Benefits brings the comedy

If you missed No Strings Attached earlier this year, you’re in luck! Director Will Gluck (Easy A) is bringing us a funnier version this summer called Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.

The premise for Friends with Benefits is pretty self-explanatory. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis play two young professionals who aren’t looking for love. They just want physical companionship and there’s nothing wrong with that — right?

What’s the big deal about this movie? If you already saw No Strings Attached (which has the same premise), what makes Hollywood think you’ll want to see Friends with Benefits? First of all, it’s all about tone and star power. The casts for both films are completely different and the actors bring their own attitude and personality to their roles.

Will Gluck struck gold with last year’s Easy A, so he knows a thing or two about good comedy. Also, the chemistry between Timberlake and Kunis is off the charts. So much so, that people thought they were dating (a rumor they cleared up at this year’s MTV Movie Awards) in real life.

The cast also includes the talented Patricia Clarkson, Woody Harrelson, Jenna Elfman, Emma Stone, Andy Samberg and Richard Jenkins. What’s not to love here?

Friends with Benefits opens in theaters everywhere on July 22. Check it out and judge for yourself.
