Katy Perry leads MTV Video Music Awards nominations

Katy Perry‘s name is all over the MTV Video Music Awards. Firework, Teenage Dream, E.T. and Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) all managed to score nominations, making her the leader of the pack.

The MTV Video Music Awards nominations came out Wednesday night (July 20) and Katy Perry led the pack with nine. Among others, the music star took nods in the Best Video and Best Female Video of the Year categories for Firework.

Adele and Kanye West nipped right at the heels of Katy Perry with seven nominations. Adele also finds herself in the Best Video and Best Female Video of the Year categories against Perry with Rolling in the Deep.
