Amy Winehouse wrote a bizarre Twitter message just two days before her tragic death.
Amy Winehouse was found dead Saturday in her London apartment — and it’s looking like drugs or alcohol had something to do with her death. We’ll know for sure after an autopsy, but her career had long been overshadowed by her erratic behavior and multiple trips to rehab.
Winehouse’s last public appearance came Wednesday night on stage at the iTunes Festival. She appeared to support her goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield and looked uneasy — and it was apparent something was wrong.
Then, Winehouse tweeted an incoherent message Thursday — her first tweet since February.
“Oinka oikna oinka why you awake,” Winehouse wrote.
Kind of shows where her head was at the time — obviously not the thoughts of a clear-headed person. She went to rehab in May, but downed a bottle of vodka before she got there.
“I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back,” an onlooker told The Sun in May.
Her last concert was in June when she appeared in Belgrade to disastrous results.
So, so sad. We really wish she could have gotten the help she so desperately needed. Now, we’ll never get to see what she could have accomplished as a clean musician.
