Zara Phillips and her new husband Mike Tindall are too busy for their own honeymoon, the professional equestrienne said.
What new bride doesn’t look forward to those blissful few days of alone time with her dreamy new husband? Be that as it may, there are two newlyweds out there who surprisingly won’t have that honeymoon glow this week: Zara Phillips and Mark Tindall.
Phillips and Tindall wed last weekend in a royalty-filled ceremony — yes, her new cousin Kate Middleton was there — but the couple is too busy to sneak away for even a few days.
“Unfortunately both of us do have quite busy lives so it’s going to have to wait a bit for a honeymoon, but it is quite nice to go back to work as well,” said the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth.
“We’re kind of missing the quiet period where we can catch up and have some sleep. It’s back to work and that’s what we do,” she added.
Phillips is in the midst of launching her own equestrian clothing line for children, while Tindall is a rugby star.
The blond royal is 13th in line to the throne. Blame her lack of title on her mom; because she is a granddaughter of the monarch in a maternal line, she is not automatically a princess like Prince Andrew’s wacky hat-wearing girls Eugenie and Beatrice. Her mom Princess Anne specifically asked the queen not to give her children special titles.
Princess or not, Phillips looked absolutely regal at her wedding wearing the Greek Key tiara lent to her by her mother.
