Death is not funny! Unless your name is Charlie Sheen and you used to play the character Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men — then it’s hilarious — at least, according to Jon Cryer.
Is anyone else seriously becoming intrigued by the death of Charlie Sheen’s character on Two and a Half Men? First the leaked photos, then the studio audience rumblings and now Jon Cryer saying it’s “funny.” What’s next?
It’s torture waiting for the season premiere, right? It was being said that Charlie Sheen’s character (Charlie Harper) on Two and a Half Men would suffer a death likened to a “meat explosion.” While that’s graphic, it’s not completely accurate.
Jon Cryer revealed to KTLA in Los Angeles, “There is no meat explosion, just so you know; it’s not some entree that ends disastrously.”
Cryer, who plays Alan Harper, added of the secrecy, “I’m not allowed to say much about it. …I will tell you, it’s funny.”
Two and a Half Men filmed the big season premiere on Aug. 5 in front of a studio audience, but the scenes were filmed out of order to protect the way in which Sheen’s character dies.
Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the debut of Ashton Kutcher as Walden Schmidt, an Internet billionaire whose heart has been broken.
Charlie Sheen says he is rooting for Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer said, “They’ve managed to bring in Ashton in a really terrific way. I mean, Ashton just did the show on Friday and just tore the roof off the joint. He was amazing.”
Get ready for everything to be revealed on Sept. 19 when Two and a Half Men premieres.
