Taylor Armstrong devastated by Russell Armstrong’s suicide

Taylor Armstrong is speaking out about the suicide of her husband, Russell Armstrong.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong is speaking out about the suicide of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong.

“Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded,” her rep says in a statement. “She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter.”

The couple has a five-year-old daughter, Kennedy.

She also says her “thoughts and prayers” are with “Russell’s 11- and 13- year-old sons” from a previous relationship.

The reality star was reportedly inconsolable when she learned of Russell’s suicide by hanging.

“She is hysterical, and can barely speak. She has no idea why Russell would do this. She doesn’t know how she is going to be able to tell her daughter, Kennedy,” an insider told RadarOnline. Taylor filed for divorce from Russell in July after experiencing verbal and physical abuse.

“I felt like I was dying inside,” she told People in July. “Now, there’s some sense of peace.”

However, her husband disputed her claims.

“He was so angry about everything,” a close friend of Russell told Us Weekly. “But never did anyone suspect he would kill himself.”

“Russell was dealing with a heavy amount of emotional and familial distress. His life was in shambles,” another source said.

Russell was under a tremendous amount of financial stress as well — the couple faced a $1.5 million lawsuit that alleged they misused funds given to them for an investment.

“I feel bad because his credit cards weren’t working… He had tremendous financial problems,” his lawyer, Ronald Richards, told TMZ.

“He was also extremely bummed out about the divorce with Taylor. As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don’t have any assets, so I’m not sure what there would be left to leave. I am extremely saddened … I had no idea he was depressed.”

So sad.
