Where in the world is Matt Lauer?

NBC plans to bring back “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” segment. Read on for all the details.

It’s time to go on a trip, people! It looks like NBC and Today are planning to bring back the popular “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” segment.

Oh, please don’t let this be a cruel joke, because we love following that guy around from place to place and the segment was fun in a corny kind of way.

According to TVNewser, NBC will bring back “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” sometime in November — we smell a sweeps plan!

The travel segment would be brought back for a 10th installment and be marketed as a 10th anniversary piece.

“Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” hasn’t been seen since May of 2008 due to the economic downfall and the idea that it was not cost effective to jet Matt Lauer around the globe.

If you’re not familiar with the segment, first, shame on you. Second, it’s not complicated. Matt Lauer heads to a different city, or place, in the world each day of the week.

Where would you like to see NBC send Matt Lauer?
