The first and some might say, the only true American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, will be releasing her fifth studio album, titled Stronger on October 25, 2011. Clarkson has been the most successful Idol contestant of all time, having sold 20 million albums worldwide and nabbing 7 singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
Life as we know it is good, Kelly Clarkson is back again! After two years, Clarkson is returning to music with her most powerful album yet, Stronger, to be released October 25th. This will be her first CD since All I Ever Wanted was released in 2009.
While other Idol graduates have come and gone, Kelly Clarkson has kept a steady pace with her music. With each album, she surprises fans yet again with a powerful voice that seems to come from the depths of her soul.

In November 2009, Kelly gave an interview to MTV.com about production for the new CD, stating that it was “influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and a little bit of country influence on a couple of songs.”
Most recently, Kelly has returned to live performing with her knockout collaboration with country superstar Jason Aldean of “Don’t You Wanna Stay”, which went to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. This wasn’t Clarkson’s first foray into the world of country music. She collaborated with her idol Reba McEntire and sang with The Wreckers, Rascal Flatts and Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn. Coincidentally, she has become such good friends with her “idol” that McEntire’s husband Narvel Blackstock now manages her.
Kelly first came into the public conciousness in 2002 as the winner of the first American Idol. Her debut album Thankful sold 4 million copies worldwide and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Her second release, Breakaway in 2004, won two Grammys and sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. My December in 2007 and All I Ever Wanted in 2009 both achieved platinum status.
Clarkson’s last CD debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
