What does Anne Hathaway have to do to get on Glee? Win an Emmy? Golden Globe? Host the Oscars? Check, check and check!
Anne Hathaway can rule the big screen in films like One Day and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, and she can rule the stage hosting the Oscars, but she can’t seem to get a spot on Glee.
The 28-year-old actress had a chance encounter with series creator Ryan Murphy that she hoped would be her foot in the door. Buzz Sugar reports:
Anne told us that [Murphy said] “‘Anne Hathaway, come on Glee!’ And I go yes, and he goes ‘Fab, I’ll call you.'” Sadly, she added, ” . . . And I never heard from him again.” She hasn’t given up the dream, though, and has a message for Glee‘s mastermind: “Ryan Murphy, I’m calling you out, I want to be on Glee! I got my songs all ready to go!”
Anne Hathaway certainly has the pipes to fit in with the musical cast. The actress has belted out tunes numerous times in her career including during her Oscar hosting gig in 2011, and in Hugh Jackman’s turn as host during the 81st Acadamey Awards.
Other stars who’ve appeared on the hit series include Gwyneth Paltrow, Molly Shannon, John Stamos, Josh Groban, Olivia Newton-John, Kristin Chenoweth and Neal Patrick Harris.
