The World According to Paris will not be renewed for a second season say industry insiders.
Paris Hilton will have to seek out a new way to stay relevant. Industry insiders say her latest reality offering The World According to Paris bombed so badly that it won’t be renewed.
According to a Vulture report on NYMag.com, the Oxygen network “has no plans for a second season of The World According to Paris.”
The show nabbed barely 400,000 viewers its first week and the numbers dropped from there. Could it be that Paris’ antics, which were barely cute when she was in her early 20’s, are now just seen as off-putting and tired in a 30-year-old woman?
Is our love affair with Paris Hilton over? Contrast those abysmal numbers with the Kardashian empire, which includes at least four shows and Kim Kardashian‘s over the top wedding, which will be televised in a two-hour special in October. The public has moved on.
Don’t tell that to Paris, though. Hilton stomped off an interview when confronted with the cold, hard facts of her waning popularity earlier this summer.
