Which Wahlberg wants a Wahlburger? Paul, Donnie and Marc Wahlberg all do!
Paul, Donnie and Mark Wahlberg are going into the burger business. The trio of brothers have decided to open up shop in Hingham, Massachusetts and have gone out of their way to obtain ‘Wahlburgers’ for their restaurant name.
Business partner Ed St.Croix explains, “It just works. It’s a good-sounding brand we could put out the product with, a great name people could relate to.”
But you see, while Wahlburgers is a natural fit for the Wahlberg brothers, it also made perfect sense when used by New York burger chain Tom Wahl’s. One of their specialties was known as the ‘Wahlburger.’ Lucky for our trio of restaurateurs all sides have come to an arrangement allowing them “full spectrum” use of the moniker.
Relieved to have it all worked out Ed commented, “We were definitely surprised. It was a thing we had talked about for several years. Working with the people out in New York, they were fantastic. It worked out well for both sides.”
Wahlbugers won’t be the first foray for Donnie, Paul and Mark Wahlberg into the restaurant business. The group own an Italian restaurant, Alma Nove, named after their mother located in the same area.
In addition to Italian and burgers, the Wahlbergs have their sights set on a pizzeria next spring.
