Dancing with the Stars first photos

Go ahead, admit it. You watch Dancing with the Stars. Each season, you wait to see who will be competing for the mirrorball trophy and this year, you broke all your regular TV viewing habits to make sure you tuned into DWTS to see who was putting on their dancing shoes.

It’s the first photos that reveal who will be on the cast of Dancing With the Starslucky Season 13. Show hosts Tom Bergeron and newlywed Brooke Burke were in their dancing finery to premiere who would be working their butts off to win that coveted glitzy trophy.

Get your spray tanners, bangles, beads and wigs out, because it’s time for the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars on Sept. 19. The celebs (or lack thereof) who will be doing the cha cha, samba and rhumba this season are an eclectic mix of men and women. There’s no forerunner who has the edge in this group, no one with formal dance training, no one who is any more skilled than the next person.

This season, the dancing celebs are as follows: David Arquette (actor/director/producer), Ron Artest (L.A. Lakers), Chaz Bono (LGB activist and child of Sonny and Cher), Elizabetta Canalis (model and former flame of George Clooney), Kristin Cavallari (reality star), Nancy Grace (reporter), Rob Kardashian (a Kardashian, enough said), Carson Kressley (stylist and author), Ricki Lake (actress and talk show host), J.R. Martinez (soap opera actor), Chynna Phillips (singer/songwriter/actress) and Hope Solo (professional women’s soccer player).

All 12 couples will dance live for the first time on Monday, Sept. 19, performing either a cha cha or Viennese Waltz. On Tuesday, Sept. 20, one couple will be the first eliminated. As usual, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman will be back with paddles in hand to judge, critique and give advice to those who might be too heavy on their feet.

Also returning this year is veteran Dancing With the Stars winner, dancer Derek Hough, who took some time off to work from his acting career. Last year’s winner, Hines Ward, won with partner Kym Johnson in Season 12.
