Rapper T.I. heads to VH1 for post-prison reality show

T.I. (Clifford Harris) is finally a free man. The rapper and actor was released from prison Wednesday morning after serving almost a year at an Arkansas facility. So, what’s next on the star’s agenda? A reality TV show!

It’s been less than 24 hours since T.I. was released from prison and he already has a new job. VH1 has tapped the rapper for a reality show that they claim will give an inside look as he’s “reunited with his wife and kids and thrust back into society at this crucial juncture in his life.”

According to TMZ, the network issued a press release that begs the question “Can the King stay on the straight and narrow while juggling the chaos of his kingdom?” This may seem like an opportunistic move by VH1 but this isn’t the first time that T.I. has appeared on a reality show. In 2009, T.I. headlined a series for MTV called Road to Redemption that showed him mentoring troubled teens.

T.I. was originally sentenced to 11 months in prison after being convicted of drug possession in Sept. 2010. With 10 months served, he’ll finish up the rest of his incarceration at a halfway house.

His new TV show is scheduled to debut in Dec.
