Who will take home the Emmy for Outstanding Drama series?

We gave you the funny side of the Emmy nominees, now it’s time for something a little more serious. Here are your 2011 nominees for Outstanding Drama Series.

They make us cry at the drop of a hat and feel something in the pit of our stomach. They are your 2011 Emmy nominees for Outstanding Drama Series.

Mad Men is going for a big win. Having taken home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series the past three years (2008-2010) and with a whopping 19 nods to their name this year, the 60’s era series could walk away with a lot of hardware this year.

Don’t count HBO’s Boardwalk Empireout, however. The series has 18 nominations of its own and is going into the awards with considerable buzz.

Showtime’s, Dexter, is up four a fourth straight nomination, while CBS’, The Good Wife, is up for a second year in a row.

We’re going to go out on a limb and call for a possible upset by either Friday Night Lightsor Game of Thrones, who are both first-time nominees.

You’ll have to wait until Sept. 18 to find out for sure who takes home the Outstanding Drama Series Emmy. You don’t want to miss Jane Lynch hosting live.

Until then, check out our poll and tell us who you think deserves to win the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series.
