Dancing with the Stars premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 and the season 13 cast is proving to be as controversial as ever.
Ever since the announcement was made that transgender activist Chaz Bono would be racing for the mirror ball trophy, everyone has had an opinion.
Some are okay with it, others are thumping their views around like he’s setting out to hurt someone. What do we think about the situation? As long as someone’s twirling their butt around the dance floor, we could care less what’s going down elsewhere.
Chaz Bono recently stopped by ABC News and spoke his mind about why he’s glad he made the decision to do the show: “It’s made me realize I’m really glad I’m doing this, because America really needs to see this.”
He added, “You know, it just kind of shows why for me it’s important to be on the show, because so little still is known about what it means to be transgender. And there’s so many just completely inaccurate stereotypes and thoughts that people have.”
