Bethenny Frankel says she never lied about the ingredients in her Skinnygirl Margarita line, despite claims to the contrary.
After Whole Foods yanked the Skinnygirl Margarita line from their shelves last week, Bethenny Frankel came out swinging, saying she hadn’t “lost even a wink of sleep” over the fiasco.
Now Frankel, who starred on The Real Housewives of New York, is elaborating on her original statement, saying she never lied about the ingredients in the drink and that she resents any implications otherwise.
Frankel said on her website, “We would not sell anything that I don’t personally drink. I’m a natural foods chef and health is a top priority for me and my family.”
“The Skinnygirl Margarita is made with natural ingredients and its label is consistent with U.S. federal regulations, which is why it is carried in stores nationwide and continues to fly off the shelves.”
“I built my brand on trust and honesty. I don’t take lightly obvious attempts to put my integrity in question. I will always answer your questions and concerns directly and truthfully,” Bethenny Frankel concluded.
So there you go. Bottoms up!
