Maria Menounos‘ biological clock is ticking too fast for her liking, that’s why the 33-year-old television correspondent has decided to freeze her eggs. Now the only thing left to do is reveal the news to her parents on Dr. Drew‘s Lifechangers.
Maria Menounos is making plans to have a baby — some day far in the distant future. At the age of 33, the Extra reporter is taking control of her fertility and has decided to have her eggs frozen.
On Thursday’s episode of Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers Maria Menounos reveals her big decision. She explains to doctor turned television host, “I’m 33 and I decided that I know that I have a couple of years of work I want to get to and then do it. I figured this is kind of an insurance policy. To a degree. To protect myself, from when I want to do it when I’m older.”
The only hitch is that Maria has yet to tell her parents of her newly decided fertility plans. As her parents Costas and Litsa walk on set Dr. Drew prompts, “Do you have some news you want to share with your parents?”
Maria explains to them, “…I am going to freeze my eggs…I have decided I am going to have kids…but to make it realistic, because I am not going to do it for a few years, we’re going to freeze our eggs so that we have no problems down the line.”
