Third time’s a charm: Tori Spelling has a baby girl!

Tori Spelling has given birth to a baby girl, the star reports.

The family of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott is a little bigger today after the star gave birth to the couple’s third child. After keeping the gender of their baby a surprise throughout the pregnancy, Spelling announced the birth – and the sex – of their baby on Twitter.

“Our family’s so happy 2 announce [that on] 10/10/11 [our] baby girl Hattie Margaret McDermott was born at 7:08am! Xoxo,” the 38-year-old actress, author and reality star tweeted, sharing a photo of the new baby’s wee little feet.

This makes Spelling’s third child, who joins sister Stella and brother Liam. McDermott has a 13-year-old son Jack from his previous marriage. The pending adoption of a baby girl at the time of McDermott’s divorce was carried forward by his ex-wife only.

Spelling said this third pregnancy was her toughest one yet, and while she and McDermott originally discussed having four kids, this might be her last.

Regardless of how many more kids she may or may not have, Spelling takes her role as mom very seriously. Spelling told Parenting magazine that she constantly worries about making the right choices as a mother, and wonders if being a working mom is hurting her kids.

“There are days when I struggle with wanting to be a full-time, stay-at-home mom, and feeling guilty about that because I work,” she told Parenting.

“There’s this one mom at school who’ll be like, ‘Oh, we’re having this playdate or whatever, can you come?’ Recently, when I said I couldn’t, she said, ‘Oh, you never go to anything.’ That hit me really hard.”

Working moms everywhere can relate.

Congratulations to the Spelling-McDermott family on their new addition!
