Rapper Rick Ross is recovering after a health scare caused an emergency landing.
A flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis made an emergency landing Friday morning after rapper Rick Ross had a seizure right after take-off, according to TMZ.
“We’re told his entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane personnel — at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the rapper,” the website reported just after 10:30 a.m. PST.
“The plane made an emergency landing right away — and we’re told, as Rick was being wheeled off the aircraft, he appeared to show signs of life.”

No word what caused Ross’ health problems. However, the rapper — known for his large frame — isn’t shy about his love of the finer things in life, including food.
“After tasting Wingstop’s signature lemon pepper-flavored wings in Miami, I knew this was a franchise I wanted to add to my investments,” Ross said recently of his decision to open Wingstop restaurants.
Ross — a frequent collaborator with Kanye West and Jay-Z — was transported from the airport to a nearby hospital where he’s said to be recovering.
“I just talked to Ross…he’s 100 pct ok,” rapper Wale tweeted shortly afterward.
We’ve reached out to Ross’ rep to get more on his condition, though he’s already back to tweeting his friends and fans.
“Pray for Rozay,” hip hop journalist Elliot Wilson tweeted to Ross. Wilson followed up with another tweet to Ross soon afterward, “Don’t scare a [expletive] like that. Thanks.”
“Never dat homie…” Ross replied to Wilson.
Guess he’s doing fine, now.
