Glee Project winner Damian McGinty reports to class!

Glee Project winner Damian McGinty is getting ready to kick off his seven-episode arc on Glee Nov. 1 and we have some photos to get you in the Irish mood!

May the luck of the Irish be with you — and Glee — courtesy of TheGlee Project winner Damian McGinty.

When Damian McGinty began competing on The Glee Project, he was definitely the underdog.

The lad from Ireland struggled with dance steps and didn’t always catch the eye of the camera — but Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, saw the potential in the boy who began his singing career with famed Irish group, Celtic Thunder.

All the doubt and wonder are now over for Damian McGinty as he won The Glee Project, along with Samuel Larson, and will begin his seven-episode stint as a foreign exchange student when Glee returns on Nov. 1.

Fox just released a few new pictures of McGinty in his new role and we have to say, we’re loving his pompadour hair! In the above photo, you’ll notice he’s one slushie away from being a New Directions member.

In the second photo below however, he’s all smiles as he talks with Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera).

Damian McGinty’s first Glee episode is called “Pot O’ Gold,” and is obviously an homage to his Irish roots.

Fox’s synopsis for “Pot O’ Gold” reads as the following: “A new foreign exchange student, Rory Flanagan (guest star Damian McGinty, winner of “The Glee Project”), enrolls at McKinley and crashes with Brittany S. Pierce (Heather Morris) who thinks he’s a leprechaun. Meanwhile, Mercedes (Amber Riley) attempts to recruit new members to join Shelby Corcoran’s (guest star Idina Menzel) newly formed glee club, and Sue’s (Jane Lynch) congressional campaign heats up.”

Brittany believing Rory is a leprechaun might be the funniest “B” plot since Glee unveiled her belief in Santa last season.

Lindsay Pearce, The Glee Project runner-up, already kicked off her small guest starring role when the show debuted back in September and we have to admit — these new kids are providing some fantastic laughs.

Ryan Murphy was right to give the final four each a shot at Glee.
