Rihanna hospitalized in Sweden

Rihanna apologizes to her Swedish fans from her hospital bedside for canceling her concert.

It hasn’t been a very good tour for chart-topper Rihanna. First, her concert literally goes up in flames in Dallas earlier this summer, forcing her fans to evacuate her concert. Now, the singer has been hospitalized in Sweden and forced to cancel another concert date because she is apparently sick with the flu.

Rihanna was scheduled to perform in Malmo, Sweden but instead is currently hooked up to an IV drip at an area hospital. According to TMZ, a rep for Live Nation says the concert has been canceled because the singer is “not in condition to conduct the concert.”

The Barbados-born beauty — who has one expensive hair care bill — also released her own statement saying, “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo [Sweden]. I was so excited to perform for you all.”

“It would have been a great time… so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there,” she added.

Rihanna didn’t stop there; she also took to her Twitter account to send out a heartfelt apology to her Swedish fans by tweeting “Sorry Malmo!” and attaching a picture of her arm with tubes coming out of it.

According to the Daily Mail, some Swedish fans were disappointed about the concert’s cancellation when they were turned away from the Malmo Arena where Rihanna was scheduled to perform. She is scheduled to perform on Tuesday night in Stockholm, Sweden with dates in Oslo, Norway and Herning, Denmark this coming weekend, pending her recovery from the flu.
