Does Kate Middleton have a royal bun in the oven?

Kate Middleton‘s snack refusal in Denmark sparked a flurry of pregnancy rumors. Is she or isn’t she?

After a visit to a UNICEF distribution center during an official visit to Copenhagen, Denmark, Royal watchers began speculating that Kate Middleton is pregnant.

We knew the rumors were bound to start sooner or later.

Middleton and her husband of six months, Prince William, sat down together to view and sample foods from aid boxes that were to be sent to famine-plagued East Africa. However, Middleton gave her royal hubby a “knowing glance” when he tried to give her a peanut-based snack.

Some doctors recommend that pregnant women stay away from certain foods, including peanuts, to decrease the likelihood of an allergy in the growing child.

Pregnant or not, it’s likely that the Duchess of Cambridge will be a mother before long. Princess Diana was pregnant with Prince William soon after her royal wedding in 1981. It was also rumored that the couple asked employees at their Seychelles Islands honeymoon locale to stock up on certain “fertility-enhancing” foods, including Brussels sprouts and cream cheese.

If she is pregnant and having a girl, there’s a chance that her daughter could hold the title of queen. England’s Prime Minister David Cameron wants to change royal succession rules so that future female heirs will have the chance to hold the crown.

“We espouse gender equality in all other aspects of life, and it is an anomaly that in the rules relating to the highest public officer we continue to enshrine male superiority,” Cameron wrote in a letter to the governments of British commonwealths and Queen Elizabeth. They all must agree to the change for it to happen.

We’re crossing our fingers that Kate Middleton really is pregnant!
