Faith Hill will debut her first single called “Come Home” at the CMA Awards on Nov. 9.
Faith Hill will perform her highly anticipated single “Come Home” off of her new album at the 45th Annual CMA Awards next Wednesday. This will be her first live appearance on the show in five years.
“It’s such a great song,” Hill tells CMT of the song, which was written by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder. “So well-written — a beautiful lyric and sentiment combined with a driving musical undertone and instrumentation. I’m really excited for fans of country radio to hear the song.”
It has been six years since Hill has had a number one hit, and she admits feeling the stress to produce a hit. “The pressure to get something out there is enormous,” she tells Robin Roberts on her In the Spotlight special. “It really is. I mean, to have not had a studio record on radio for six years, you know, basically, the career’s gone!”
Hill, 44, has been busy the last six years, raising three daughters (Gracie, Maggie and Audrey) with her husband, country superstar and actor Tim McGraw, as well as launching a perfume and having the honor of singing the theme song for Sunday Night Football.
She and McGraw just celebrated their 15th anniversary. “I just love him,” she gushes. “Sometimes he drives me nuts, and I drive him nuts. We work differently, but I don’t know, I still… I really melt when I see my husband.”
