Supermodel Adriana Lima‘s intense workout regimen and shocking diet secret sound like she is preparing more for an Olympic sport than for a runway show.
While many supermodels usually keep mum about their workout regimens and diets, Adriana Lima has done the opposite by shocking the world with the details of her over-the-top training methods and diet to help prep for the upcoming Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
You would think that the Brazilian beauty was training for a long-distance marathon, but she’s not. Instead, she’s been hitting the gym, lifting weights and cutting out solids from her diet to ensure she looks as svelte as ever for her turn on the catwalk.
Lima’s extreme lingerie diet has made headlines for not only the intensity in her workout, but for her diet, as well. The 30-year-old has been exercising daily since August, completing two workouts every 24 hours for the last few weeks. For the past week though, she’s only consumed protein shakes.
Two days before the show Lima is reportedly drinking nothing but water. She also plans to have no liquid at all 12 hours before she’ll take to the runway.
“No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that,” the celebrity mom tells the Sydney Morning Herald.
As far as her workouts, they’re no walk in the park, either. Lima explains, “It is really intense, it’s not really the amount of time you spend working out, it’s the intensity: I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”
While, we’re sure Lima is going to look fantastic on the runway, we also hope she consulted with a doctor before beginning this hardcore regimen.
