Are Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson legally married?

Rumors have spread on the web that the actor who marries Bella and Edward in Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment in the Twilight film series, might have been a real officiate.

The wedding scene between Bella and Edward has been one of the most anticipated moments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, which releases November 18 as the fourth installment of the highly successful vampire-romance series. The ceremony takes place in a forest draped with white flowers and an audience full of family and friends.

“He [the minister] kept saying our names,” actress Kristen Stewart who plays Bella told reporters at a press conference publicizing the much-awaited debut of the first film in a two part cliff-hanger. “He couldn’t remember the vows. Maybe he was really nervous.”

Stewart revealed in October in an interview with British GQ that she is dating her on-screen love Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, the vampire who falls in love with and eventually marries a human.

When asked about a joke Pattinson made to fans that the filmmakers used a “real priest” and now he and Stewart might actually be married, Stewart seemed a bit surprised. “Honestly, that’s the first I heard of it,” she said and laughed.

But is it possible that she and her 25-year-old boyfriend are actually husband and wife? Stewart said the actor “definitely messed up my middle name.”

It wasn’t clear if the actors signed any documentation or if it was a just a joke among the crew. But since it’s coming from Pattinson, perhaps he’s floating the idea to see how she reacts? Proposing marriage can seem daunting to any guy, human or vampire.

Known for her secrecy — the actress was rumored to be dating her co-star for several months before confirming it. Stewart didn’t reveal her feelings about possibly being the new Mrs. Pattinson to reporters, saying “That’s a funny story to come out of this because that wasn’t my memory.”

But at least she’s curious about getting the facts straight. “Was he even necessarily a real ordained minister?” Stewart asked. “I’d like to find out.”
