Brad Pitt says he’s going to be done with acting in three years. What grand project is he going to take on next?
Brace yourself: Brad Pitt won’t be gracing our movie screens for all eternity. Nope, the sexy actor told 60 Minutes that he already has his exit strategy in mind.
“Three years,” Pitt told interviewer Tara Brown of when he’ll quit acting. After that, he says he’ll spend his days producing and developing new projects.
“I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together,” Pitt said. “Getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise.”
The 47-year-old actor — currently filming World War Z — also revealed that he may not stop with six children. “You know, I don’t know that we’re finished,” Pitt said of his family with Angelina Jolie. “I don’t know yet. I don’t know.”
The one thing he does know: He hates the constant media attention in his life, though he’s learned to deal with it. He’s still worried about the affect on his children, though.
“Sure I worry. It’s the only thing I get hot about, I’m ready to… fight about,” he said. “But, on the other hand you know, it’s a trade-off, like anything. There’s a great trade-off. And we, these guys, I’m so happy for them, because they get to see the world. And their lives are so enriched by it. The privacy issues are something we’re always battling. But you know, it is true that a couple of ours do not like it. You know, they don’t like it and I’m sure that will color them in some interesting way.”
The Jolie-Pitt clan knows how to deal with the constant scrutiny like pros, though at home they’re all about simple family time.
“I mean, because those late nights are so fun when one of them’s up or those mornings when they get up and make pancakes or something. That’s what it’s about,” he said.
Our only question: Are they going to adopt or have more biological children?
