Over 4,000 angry fans have launched a petition to stop the broadcasting of all Kardashian reality shows in light of Kim’s recent divorce to Kris Humphries — which some say was a sham.
It looks like the Kardashian family might want to hold on tightly to their millions… or at least start couponing soon. In a grassroots effort, a group of people have obtained over 4,000 signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove all Kardashian shows from their programming.
Leader Cyndy Snider states in the petition: “We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption. While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of ‘reality satire,'” she added.
For those who have stopped caring, the Kardashian empire has spawned several reality shows includingKeeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Khloe and Lamar.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian — whom the family can thank for first putting them on the map with her sex tape with rapper Ray J — is doing everything she can to prove her over-the-top wedding to Kris Humphries wasn’t a sham.
The 31-year-old reality star has hired lawyer Marty Singer to put a muzzle on Jonathan Jaxson, her former publicist who has been making the media rounds claiming Kardashian’s wedding was one big publicity stunt.
“It was obvious that it was staged,” Jaxson recently said in a television interview. “There were contracts already in place for E! to film it. Everything was written down.”
TMZ reports that Kardashian claims Jaxson’s defamatory statements have hurt her reputation and she is seeking a minimum of $200,000 in damages.
Jaxson claims he is telling the truth and has even posted several videos, photos and copies of his contract with Kardashian on his Twitter page.
