Here’s how the final four stacked up…
Hope and Maks (49): Hope Solo and Maks Chmerkovskiy’s first dance was a spicy paso doble that had aggression and attitude.
Len Goodman thought there was too much aggression and deemed the dance a bit hard as did Bruno Tonioli. Their first dance earned a 21.
Their Argentine tango had lifts and dips that showed off Hope’s athletic ability — and her artistic efforts weren’t so bad either. Carrie Ann seemed a bit disappointed in the lifts, but they still managed a 24.

J.R. and Karina (56): J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff managed to snag not one, but two 30s last week, so the bar was set high for them this week.
Despite a twisted ankle, J.R. got through the performance — but it didn’t match last week’s perfect showing by any means.
Len Goodman said their Zorro-themed dance was “more zero than hero.” Ouch! The paso doble earned them a 23.
J.R. came back strong with his Argentine tango. Carrie Ann said there was a “true fire burning” while he and Karina were dancing. Their spot-on lifts and overall dance earned them a 27.
Rob and Cheryl (65):Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke busted out some booty shaking for their first dance, the samba. Did they seriously enter the stage on a mini float!?
There was so much hip action Carrie Ann Inaba was in heaven — she couldn’t help but give him a 10! Bruno Tonioli said it went “beyond expectations” and he should keep using “that butt.” Their bootylicious dance earned them a 28.
Their Argentine tango was strong, sleek and loved by the judges. Carrie Ann said “there was no fake dancing” involved and that it was “strong dancing.” It earned them a 27.

Ricki and Derek (67): Ricki Lake and Derek Hough also let their hips out to play for their samba. They swiveled their hips around so hard, we were dizzy by the end.
Did they top Rob and Cheryl? Len Goodman’s critique says it all: “Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous.” Their hip action earned them a perfect 30.
Their Argentine tango was hot, hot, hot! It had passion, precision and lifts that deserved a perfect 30 but thanks to Carrie Ann they got a 29.
For the cha-cha-cha relay, each dancer earned a set of bonus points (10, 8, 6, 4) depending on if they ended up first, second, third or fourth in placement.
They ended up in the following order (fourth to first): Hope Solo, J.R. Martinez, Derek Hough and Rob Kardashian. Who knew Rob would take first in the cha-cha-cha relay?
