George Clooney hints that he is thinking about his life after movies and talks retirement plans.
Actor George Clooney was in attendance at his Descendants movie premiere when he was asked what he thought of pal Brad Pitt‘s reported retirement plan.
“I hope he doesn’t,” Clooney told E! Online, adding, “I’d like to work with him again. I sorta don’t see it happening. He’s at the peak of his career.”
As for retiring himself, Clooney joked that he thinks about it “all the time.”
Pitt set off a furor earlier this week by declaring he was planning on retiring from acting by age 50. Pitt is now backing off of those claims, saying he has no concrete plans to retire.
“I wasn’t putting an exact deadline on my expiration date (as an actor) but I just see it coming and I do have an interest in the producing side,” the actor said during the Korean stopover for the promotional tour of Moneyball, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.
It’s a good thing Clooney was kidding around because his fans have definitely not had enough of their favorite leading man. Let’s hope it will be years until he does actually retire.
Maybe now Clooney and Pitt can come up with another joint project together. The only thing better than seeing one on them on the big screen is seeing them both in the same film.
Pitt has also recently hinted that he might be expanding his family in the near future, but it doesn’t look like Clooney will be joining his old pal in that department. Even though he’s been hot and heavy with current girlfriend Stacy Keibler, it’s doubtful that we’ll ever see Clooney in a fatherhood role.
