The X Factor’s Simon Cowell is all a-Twitter!

Be warned Twitter fanatics, Simon Cowell will now be able to see your every tweet.

What could Simon Cowell possibly have to tweet about? We’ll soon find out as The X Factor judge has joined the ranks of Twitter.

Celebrity tweets are an interesting way to find out what your favorite stars are up to and Simon Cowell is the latest to let us into their world.

Simon Cowell announced his Twitter account by tweeting, “It’s official, I know it’s taken a while. It’s really me! We’re live in 10 minutes. I’ll keep you posted. Lots of love #iamsimon.”

The reason Simon Cowell finally joined the social site isn’t just because he wants us to know he’s ironing his billionth black shirt. He’s also using it torment his fellow judges on The X Factor.

Leave it to Simon Cowell to use Twitter to egg on Paula and Nicole: “Drew was amazing. The girls @PaulaAbdul and @NicoleScherzy are threatened by her,” he tweeted in regards to one of his X Factor contestants.

He also tweeted, “I love being on Twitter. Thank you for allowing me to beat the other 3 in the popularity poll. Paula looked like she’d sucked on a lemon!”

Cowell didn’t leave his tweeting jabs to just his comrades on The X Factor. Simon Cowell also joked with Piers Morgan.

Piers Morgan tweeted first, “At last! Bring. It. On. love #iampiers RT @SimonCowell It’s official, I know it’s taken a while. It’s really me! love #iamsimon.”

To which Cowell responded with, “@piersmorgan look up the word deluded in your dictionary.”

Piers Morgan then tweeted back, saying, “Save your breath @SimonCowell — nobody’s watching X Factor, my show’s about to start #CNN @PiersTonight.”

Morgan ended the slam marathon a bit later with, “Comes before ‘demolished’ — ironically what I’ll do to you on here RT@SimonCowell: @piersmorgan look up the word deluded in your dictionary.”

So, just how many people are excited to watch Simon Cowell’s day-to-day activities?

As of his sign-on day (Wednesday, Nov. 16), Simon Cowell had an estimated 190,000 followers. At the time of this article (Thursday, Nov. 17), @SimonCowell has 203,238 followers.

That’s a lot of Twitter friends but not as many as his pal Piers Morgan. Morgan said as of this morning, “Morning @SimonCowell — still 1.3 MILLION followers behind me. As you would tell a contestant: ‘There’s a LOT of work to do, luv.'”
