Forget a water birth, Jessica Simpson wants to deliver her baby in Yves Saint Laurent heels.
Well, she is a fashion maven, isn’t she? Former pop princess Jessica Simpson is ripping a page out of Victoria Beckham‘s book by saying that she plans on delivering her baby in a very posh pair of heels.
“I’m probably going to deliver my baby in these [4-inch Yves Saint Laurent heels],” she tells Us Weekly. “I went to the doctor yesterday and he said, ‘You’re gonna need to get out of those heels!'”
Her response? “I was like, ‘Excuse me! I’ll be delivering in these heels!” Simpson, who is engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson, has regularly been pictured in gravity-defying high heels, despite being heavily pregnant.
We just hope for the doctor’s sake — and for those heels — that no one is going to get spiked in the face during her delivery.
It’s easy to see that she’s also having a fantastic time experimenting with her ensembles as an expectant mother. And the 31-year-old Fashion Star mentor doesn’t believe in hiding her baby bump.
“I like wearing things more fitted,” she explained.”You want to show off your bump! It’s just so fun. You don’t want to wear muumuus so you can moo around town.”
But getting back to those heels… would she not want to wear a pair from her own Jessica Simpson line when she’s giving birth? That way her baby can check out where his or her mother’s fortune is coming from firsthand.
