Mad Maksim Chmerkovskiy stirring up dancing trouble

While Maksim Chmerkovskiy has won fans from around the world with his good looks and his moves on the dance floor, it looks like he’s also losing a few because of his hot temper.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not winning any new friends. An insider tells Us Weekly that the Dancing with the Stars crew is “livid” with the Ukrainian-born dance pro’s bad attitude. Among his missteps: bad-mouthing Derek Hough during a Good Morning America interview; telling reporters backstage on Nov. 14, “F*ck [judge] Carrie Ann [Inaba];” and refusing to speak to journalists after he and Hope Solo were voted off Nov. 15. (The source claims ABC told the pro, 31, not to do press.)

“He’s a poor sport,” says the insider. “People are suggesting he get anger management!” Many crew members also believe “Maks’ antics reflect poorly on the show.”

A second insider counters that Chmerkovskiy is trying to rebuild burned bridges — beginning with Hough, 26.

Just a few weeks ago the professional dancer lashed out at judges’ Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli after their scathing critiques. While Lacey Schwimmer and Chaz Bono supported Maksim for standing up for himself, Ricki Lake’s partner Hough sided with the judges.

Chmerkovskiy later burned Hough in an interview with Good Morning America by saying, “Derek Hough has been very supportive of his personal career on the show. When you say judges have been generous, with all due respect, if I had Nicole Scherzinger followed by Jennifer Grey followed by Ricki Lake, I probably would not be very upset with the judges either.”

But now it looks like things are all good in the hood… and on the dance floor.

“Maksim and Derek have patched things up after their big feud,” the second source tells Us. “They are fine with each other now.”

Let’s just hope Chmerkovskiy will be able to patch things up nicely with the rest of his DWTS’ crew, too.
