Glee for Little Monsters: Lady Gaga has unveiled the nearly 14-minute mini-movie she directed to accompany her single “Marry the Night.”
Got 14 minutes to spare? Check out Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night” video.
From “PokerFace” to “The Edge of Glory,” Mother Monster prides herself on pushing the envelope with her outre music videos.
Now she’s directed one herself.
On Thursday evening, Gaga released her hotly-awaited and uberly-bizarre “Marry the Night” promo.
The mysterious clip begins with a distraught Gaga being wheeled into a psychiatric ward on a gurney, muttering: “I’m gonna be star.” In another scene, a brunette Gaga smears cereal all over her naked body during an emotional breakdown.
You know — typical Gaga-kinda stuff.
The video also features a philosophical voiceover from the star herself.
“When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way,” she says over the footage.

Lady Gaga told E! News that “Marry The Night” is her most personal video yet, an autobiographical look inside what she calls “one of the worst days of my life.”
What day would that be?

The video depicts the day the singer learned she’d been dropped from her first label, Island Def Jam. It was then-label-president (now current X Factor judge) L.A. Reid who brought down the axe. And Gaga says it was the day she thought her hopes of achieving stardom in the recording industry had been dashed forever.
Hardly!
Not long after getting the boot from Def Jam, Gaga was picked up by fellow singer Akon and his Interscope/Konvict Music imprint.
Now she works with some of the biggest names in the biz. The “Born the Way” singer is even planning a duet with music legend Elton John, a personal pal.
“My next duet, I believe, will be with Elton. I’m already working on my next album, and I played him a song that I wrote and he really loved it. I don’t want to give anything [else] away!”
