The Duggar family grieves for baby Jubilee

Michelle Duggar hasn’t mourned her miscarriage, yet — she’s too busy helping her children through the sadness.

A miscarriage is always a traumatic event for a family – but it’s even more traumatic when 19 children mourn the loss.

Michelle Duggar broke her silence to Peopleover her miscarriage of baby Jubilee Shalom. The Arkansas mother revealed that she hasn’t had time to grieve yet because she’s helping her children through the loss.

“I told him there is going to be a day when we are going to be together again,” Michelle told son Jackson, 7. “As the days go on, I know we will have time to talk through all this. I have been trying to hold my composure and do what I needed to do, and then be able to grieve.”

The Duggar taking it the hardest is daughter Jill.

“She was crying and weeping last night,” Michelle told People of Jill. The 20-year-old is studying to be a midwife and was charting the baby’s growth. “I hugged her and said, ‘I am holding on, and I am going to let the tears go. We can pray, cry and grieve together in the weeks and days we walk through this.'”

Michelle lost her 20th child two weeks ago. The couple held a memorial service for Jubilee last week, complete with photos of the fetus.

The family is now going to spend time celebrating family birthdays and grieving over the loss.

“Our calendar is cleared off, and we are going to take time to talk and pray and cry,” she said. “This is going to be a time for our family to just be together.”

Sounds like that’s exactly what the family needs right now.
