In the final weeks of 2011, it’s time to catch up on some of the great movies you might have missed this year. With romantic Midnight in Paris and heart-warming Dolphin Tale, there are more than a few new releases coming out this week worth checking out. Here’s our top five list.
No. 1 — Midnight in Paris
Romantic, witty and set in fabulous Paris (modern day and 1920s, too), Midnight in Paris stars Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams in this Woody Allen film perfect for a date night at home.

No. 2 — Dolphin Tale
Starring Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman, the story of a spirited dolphin that brings together a community is great for the whole family. Bring the Kleenex, because this inspirational tale is sometimes teary, too.

No. 3 — Warrior
The movie everyone is talking about, Warrior is a must-rent if you missed it in theaters this September. Starring Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte, this story is about an ex-Marine who returns home to test his strength in a competitive martial arts tournament. Hot shirtless men. Yes!

No. 4 — Colombiana
Looking for a great female action hero? Check out Zoe Saldana in Colombiana, the story of a girl who sees her parents get murdered and grows up to be a ruthless assassin.

No. 5 — Straw Dogs
This remake of the 1971 psychological thriller about a screenwriter who moves to Mississippi only to discover life in the backwoods is no safer than that of the big city. Starring James Marsden and Kate Bosworth, this is one that will have you huddling up on the couch.
