Project Runway All Stars Spotlight: Anthony Williams

Sassy, southern and fabulous — Anthony Williams returns on Project Runway All Stars!

The hilarious fan-favorite from season seven is back with talent as big as his personality.

Thanks to his charm and wit, Anthony Williams made a lasting impression on both fans and judges during season seven of Project Runway.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Williams discovered his passion for design at church. The dresses worn by parishioners inspired him, and the rest is history. He decided to teach himself to sew and continued his education at the University of Alabama where he studied apparel and textile design.

Following graduation, Williams took his talent to Atlanta and after the encouragement of friends, he submitted his profile for consideration on Project Runway.

While on the show, Williams won over the judges and clinched the top spot on one of the highest stakes challenges: the Marie Claire challenge. As part of the prize, his creation was worn by Heidi Klum on the cover of Marie Claire.

Since the show, his designs have appeared at special events hosted by high-profile retailers like Neiman Marcus. Williams is also a style ambassador for Macy’s and appeared on VH1’s reality show Single Ladies as a style consultant.

With his success and sassy commentary, we can’t wait to see what antics unfold on this season of Project Runway All Stars. The show’s cast includes some of the most talented and controversial designers Project Runway has seen in it’s first eight seasons and it should be interesting to watch how they interact with each other.

Combining the talent and big personalities of stars like Austin Scarlett and Michael Costello could either be genius or disastrous. Do you think Williams’ charm will carry him through to the end this season? Tune in to Lifetime Thursday nights to find out. We know we’ll be watching!
