Tracy Morgan was rushed to hospital in Park City, Utah on Sunday after collapsing at the Sundance Film Festival. The comedian’s rep says he’s exhausted, but some insiders believe the recovering alcoholic has fallen off the sober wagon.
Tracy Morgan was admitted to a Utah hospital Sunday evening after falling unconscious at an awards ceremony during the Sundance Film Festival.
Morgan’s new movie Predisposed, which co-stars Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo, is screening at the festival. Although the comedian, 43, appeared in good spirits while he and fiancée Megan Wollover posed for photographs at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, he declined interviews citing illness.
What role did alcohol play in the funnyman’s trip to the emergency room?
Well, that depends on who’s telling the story.
Tattling tipsters say the 30 Rock star appeared very intoxicated as he accepted the Spotlight Initiative Award at yesterday’s event. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that during the dinner Morgan “seemed out of control, yelling and falling onto the ground.”
He was escorted out of the building a short time later and collapsed unconscious outside. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ an ambulance was then dispatched to Morgan’s location, where he was picked up and rushed to nearby Park City Medical Center for treatment.
