It was all but confirmed last week, and now thanks to ABC we can put it in the official column: Emily Maynard will be the next lucky lady to find “love” on The Bachelorette.
Let’s face it, there were never high hopes that Brad Womack and Emily Maynard would make it to the church on time for a wedding, but will things work out better for the former Bachelor contestant on The Bachelorette? Statistics say probably not, but here’s to believing!
Being the one pined for by 25 men is taking back the control you give up when you’re fighting with 25 other women for a man, so maybe Emily Maynard does have a shot at love on The Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette‘s host Chris Harrison confirmed the rumors on Good Morning America Tuesday, saying, “I think she’s America’s sweetheart and I think it will be a home run.”
Please let Chris Harrison be right, because the single mother deserves a break after striking out with repeat Bachelor Brad Womack last season.
Speaking of being a mom, according to the ABC News website, she will be the first single mom to be on The Bachelorette.
ABC said in a press release, “Emily feels incredibly grateful to have found her first love when she was very young, and despite not having dated a lot, knows what it’s like to be truly in love.”
ABC went on to say, “In the past seven years, she has been looking for someone with the same spark she has for life, and she believes that she will find her soul mate on The Bachelorette.”
For those of you not completely familiar with Maynard’s journey, she lost her daughter’s father, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, in 2004 after his plane crashed. She had just found out she was pregnant with their daughter Ricki.
She made her Bachelor debut during season 15, where she and Brad formed a bond and the two eventually became engaged.
They split last summer.
