Vanessa Paradis sounds off on Johnny Depp split rumors

Vanessa Paradis has offered a vague update on the status of her relationship with actor Johnny Depp. But the Web continues to heat up with reports that the couple has called time on their 14-year relationship.

French singer/actress/model Vanessa Paradis is speaking out about the buzz that she and Hollywood screen stud Johnny Depp are on the outs after almost 15 years together.

To outsiders, their relationship is one of the most rock-solid in Tinseltown. But scratch the surface and it’s a very different story.

That’s what the tabloids are saying. The blogosphere is ablaze with whispers that the notoriously private couple are kaput.

They’ve always bragged about not needing a “piece of paper” to prove their undying love and commitment to one another. But the values by which Johnny and Vanessa’s love has stood are crumbling around them, if celebrity snitches are to be believed.

The two are leading separate lives — and have been doing so for the past two years, tattles insist. Constant bickering (over everything from their living arrangements to Johnny’s “midlife crisis”) has driven a wedge between them that’s so great, the pair has been sleeping apart for months.

Sources close to Johnny and Vanessa liken the situation to a “trial separation that has turned permanent.”

Last week, the dish was that a “miserable” Depp, 48, had fallen for his Dark Shadows co-star, Eva Green, 31.

What does Vanessa have to say about all this?

Well, she’s delivered a statement that sounds a lot like some variation of “No comment” and “It’s just a rumor. Mind your own beeswax!”

But we’ll let you to do the deciphering.

“You know, when I eat three peas, I’m pregnant. When I visit a city, I’m buying a house. In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry. It’s been 15 years since I’ve been getting married every year. In addition, I have to answer all these rumors!” Paradis, 39, told Europe 1 radio station on Monday.

We don’t expect that response to quiet the chatter: Paradis walked the red carpet solo at Monday’s Paris premiere of her new film, Café de Flore.

There was no sign of Depp or their two children, 12-year-old Lily-Rose and Jack, 9.
