Demi Moore has checked into a treatment center to recover from stress and exhaustion following the breakdown of her marriage to Ashton Kutcher. The mother of three has also pulled out of Lovelace, a film about adult film star Linda Lovelace.
Demi Moore is reportedly so exhausted that she’s been admitted to an undisclosed treatment facility.
And that means someone else will have to assume the role of outspoken feminist Gloria Steinem in the upcoming Hollywood biopic Lovelace.
Lovelace is one of two ensemble films about the life of late adult film star Linda Boreman, best known by her stage moniker Linda Lovelace. Before pulling out of the project, Moore had signed on to make a cameo as Steinem in the feature.
Steinem, now 77, founded Ms. magazine in 1972. The publication published the infamous article “The Real Linda Lovelace,” in which the women’s rights advocate dissected the XXX-rated star’s abusive relationship with her pornographer husband, Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard).
Lovelace’s role in the notorious 1972 hardcore-porn movie Deep Throat made her one of the best-known figures in adult entertainment. Amanda Seyfried will play the title role in the movie.

But the hunt is on for a new Steinem since Demi’s rep revealed that the Ghost actress is seeking treatment for her health and exhaustion issues.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends,” the Moore camp said in a news release late Tuesday.
While her rep claims she is being treated for “exhaustion,” gossip website TMZ claims the actress was taken to hospital because of “substance abuse.”

Paramedics responded to an emergency call at Moore’s address in Beverly Hills around 10:45 p.m. Medics reportedly treated the actress for around 30 minutes, after which they took her to a hospital, law enforcement tipsters report.
In November, Moore split from her husband of six years, Two and a Half Men actor Ashton Kutcher, after rumors of his infidelity hit the tabloids. Demi’s increasingly gaunt appearance at public appearances in recent weeks had sparked concerns for her health.
