It’s a longstanding Oprah Winfrey tradition and nothing will stop her from carrying it on. Get ready, because OWN will air Oprah Winfrey’s annual Oscar special.
Set your DVRs or just change any plans you have on Feb. 15, because Oprah Winfrey will continue her tradition of chatting with the Oscar nominees.
Winfrey will carry on her annual prime-time interview special that will include this year’s Oscar nominees from The Help, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, plus Moneyball‘s Jonah HIll.
Her one-on-one gab party will air on her OWN network beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Oprah Winfrey is known for dishing with past Oscar nominees and even changed things up by having the famous faces interview each other.
The Oscars air Sunday, Feb. 26, when all eyes will be on the stars of the silver screen.
Nominees include the above mentioned as well as Jean Dujardin, George Clooney, Michelle Williams, Melissa McCarthy, Brad Pitt and others.
Jonah Hill was a particularly nice surprise. He said of his nomination, “I am so humbled, appreciative and in shock about this incredible honor. I’d like to thank the Academy, Sony Pictures, the cast and crew of Moneyball, Brad Pitt and, most of all, our brilliant director Bennett Miller.”
He added, “To have this kind of recognition -– it means I should do more dramas. I don’t know if there could be a bigger sign. I was nervous at the Golden Globes, but my category was [early], so I lost right away and then I was able to have a great time. So hopefully, I can just lose right away again.”
Gotta love a man with a sense of humor!
