Reckless in red, Julia Roberts is queen for a day. And she doesn’t want anyone getting in her way. At least not some annoying little pest named Snow White.
We’re talking about Julia’s perfectly malicious role as the Evil Queen in Mirror Mirror, the new live action adaptation of one of the most beloved fairytales of all time.
But is she pure at heart…?
Lily Collins (Abduction, The Blind Side) plays the simple, but beautiful Snow White, a creature so delicate it might not take much more than a poison apple to get rid of her.
Dressed in luscious florals and bodice and lace, she’s the epitome of innocence. In this colorful adaptation of the famed fairytale, Snow White joins forces with seven rebels to fight against the Queen’s tyrannical hold on the land and to hopefully win back her place on the throne.

The gorgeous Julia is a sultry, maniacal person wrought with jealousy and hatred, arguably one of the most haunting villains ever created. Her costumes fit the character.
Dressed in extraordinary ball gowns and exaggerated patterns, the detail begets the scheming. When the Evil Queen finds out Snow White has escaped her evil clutches, she launches a hunt to destroy the rightful heir to the throne, by whatever means necessary.
And a romance too…
The Social Network hottie Armie Hammer plays Prince Andrew Alcott — a viable love interest or just the best guy on the block? It remains to be seen. Perhaps he can help Snow White make it through the frozen forest.
The amazing costume design of Eiko Ishioka
The gorgeous dresses were designed by Oscar-winning costume designer Eiko Ishioka, who died earlier this year. Her resume included costume work from Immortals, The Fall and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Her costumes fit the character, in sentiment and charm.
Donned in a red fit for royalty, the Queen is determined to bring an end to the one the mirror calls “the fairest of them all.”
