When a celebrity is expecting, what does another celebrity do to help? Offer up her own children.
Well, it’s certainly true in the case of Nicole Richie, who offered her daughter Harlow, 4, and son Sparrow, 2, to expectant mother Jessica Simpson.
OK, now before you get into a fit, Nicole was only joking; in the interview with Access Hollywood Live, Nicole said that she was offering this because she wanted to help her Fashion Star co-star, who is expecting her first baby with former NFL player Eric Johnson, very soon.
“I offered for her to take my kids up until she has hers,” said Nicole in the interview. “That didn’t really work, but the offer still stands. So if she wants to take them, then go ahead.”
We don’t think Jessica will take Nicole up on the offer anytime soon, seeing that she is reportedly too busy shopping for pink baby clothes. According to People.com, Jessica went shopping at an L.A. boutique with her mother and was seen picking up some cute pink clothes and accessories.
“She took her time picking out the perfect baby items,” said an observer, according to People.com. “She seems beyond happy about becoming a mom.”
