Who really wrote Gwyneth Paltrow‘s latest cookbook, My Father’s Daughter? One insider can’t quite say, but backs Paltrow’s heavy involvement in the project.
Celebrities may be famous, but they don’t always do all the work. Some lip sync at live concerts, others require way too much photo editing for every magazine cover. Most commonly, they hire ghostwriters to pen their memoirs and cookbooks, which gives some authentic celebrity authors a bad name.
Gwyneth Paltrow has reaffirmed that her new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, is a project of her own — a claim that The New York Times has questioned. So who is stepping in to back her up?
A publishing insider whispered to E! News that the actress and entrepreneur wears her author hat with pride and honesty, and put in the effort required to get a book published.
“She really worked hard on the book,” the source explained. “She even spent hours in the office for copy editing sessions.”
Though the source is not aware whether or not Gwyneth actually had ghostwriter Julia Turshen assist in the process, the insider backs that the book was definitely put together with Paltrow’s heavy hand.
The insider continued, “She is very intelligent and committed to the projects.”
“Love @nytimes dining section but this weeks facts need checking,” Gwyneth Paltrow posted to her personal Facebook page last week. “No ghostwriter on my cookbook, I wrote every word myself.”
Do you think Paltrow really penned her latest book?
